Legos, Robots, and Swimming Oh my!

So Dave and I love the movies it's what brought us together. So taking our girls to the movies for the first time was kind of a big deal. And wouldn't you know, I forgot the stupid camera. I even told myself not to forget it and I still did. I need to change it from "Don't forget" to "Go get it now before you forget". We had a whole day planned starting with going to the grand opening of the Lego store at the Chandler Mall, letting the girls play at the mall (which they love to do), going to see Wall-E, and swimming. Did I get a single picture that day. Nope. It bugs the crap out of me when I forget the camera. Anyway-
The girls did quite well for their first movie experience. Sadie was a little scared at first until the little Pixar cartoon started with a magician and his bunny. She liked the bunny. Once Dave joined us with popcorn and other goodies, they both shared a seat with a tray of popcorn and ate and ate and watched the movie. They did so good. Until the popcorn ran out. They got bored real quick and we left. We made it through about an hour and fifteen minutes. I don't think Wall-E was probably the best choice for first movies considering most 2 year olds don't excited about a couple of robots and fat people that don't walk and drink all their meals. Heck, I don't get excited over that either.
For dinner we went out with Dave's sister and her family to Chevy's. Everytime we go there I swear to myself that I'm never going back. Their food is bland and dry, the service is slow starting with being sat, the server, the food, and paying the freakin check. We must have been their for 2 hours. Waiting. It's not worth it. Never ever again.

They're not babies anymore... They're toddlers!

Can you see their little tan lines?

One of the many things we try to tell these 4, "STOP SPINNING THE CHAIR!!!" This is Lily and Brianna's favorite thing to do that they shouldn't because someone always ends up getting hurt. They each take an arm and run around in circles and as soon as Grace sees she runs and jumps on the chair. She likes to spin around. Sadie just follows along and does whatever. It looks like Brianna joining Grace on the chair with Sadie and Lily doing the spinning.
Here are the twins playing hide and seek. Although for them all the fun is in the counting. They all followed eachother from wall to wall counting the best they could. It was really funny. I have it on video if I can ever figure out how to put video on here.

Hubby Tag

What is his name? Dave
How long have you been together? Almost 3 years.
How long did you date? A whopping 2 whole months
How old is he? 27 almost 28
Who eats more? Oh I do for sure.
Who said I love you first? I'm pretty sure that was Dave. It's sad I don't remember the exact moment. I wish I did. Maybe he remembers.
Who is taller? Dave but not by much.
Who can sing better? Definitely Dave.
Who is smarter? Technically Dave.
Who does the laundry? Me.
Who pays the bills? Dave
Who sleeps on the right side? It's funny. My sister and I must fell the same way about our husbands. So looking at the bed, I'm on the left and Dave's on the right cause it's the side the door is on in case someone breaks in.
Who mows the lawn? If the lawn were to be mowed probably Jimmy.
Who cooks dinner? If we aren't at his mom's or eating out I will resort to this thing called "cooking". If that's what you call opening a box of Homestyle Bakes, throwing the pre-mixed ingredients into a pan, putting the pan in the oven, and setting the timer.
Who drives? Before surgery, mostly him. Post surgery me.
Who is more stubborn? Oh goodness me.
Who kissed who first? I do believe I kissed Dave first. And it was on our first date. And I was rejected due to a stupid game he was playing with his friends at the time. I won't go into details. Needless to say we didn't really kiss for another week or two.
Who proposed? It was mostly a mutual decision but the morning we took off for Vegas he made it official.
Who has more friends? Don't really know. We don't really hang out with anyone but family.
Who is more sensitive? ME!
Who has more siblings? I do. By one.
Who wears the pants? That really is a tough one. Usually what I say goes because of the whole stubborn thing. But I don't do a whole lot without Dave or at least discussing it with him.

Mine beats yours Kira...

Dude have you not seen this one!?!

Sure it's freakin sad but it's cute and funny yet totally believable. I'm not a huge fan of what's her face but I loved her in this movie. Just the tears in her eyes made me cry.

Silly Silly Girls...

Anything Grace does Sadie does. No matter what. The good or the bad. If Grace is having fun, Sadie is having fun. If Grace is getting yelled at, Sadie has to get yelled at too. If Grace is wearing goofy socks, Sadie is too.

A request from Kira...

My sister asked if I could post a picture of Dave's back. I'm not supposed to take the tape off so that's as good as it gets for now.
Dave is doing really well. He is doing a lot of things he couldn't do last week on his own now which is exciting for me. I'm just happy to see him walking better and complaing less about is back and leg hurting. Being that it's a huge relief for me I can only imagine how relieved he must feel.
We finally got out of the house and went to his parents so the girls could swim. Plus poor Sadie was having a really hard time pooping the past couple of days and I left the Miralax at his parents house. And go figure I left it there again.
Other than that, nothing too interesting going on here.

What the girls were up to while dad was in the hospital...

Grace
Sadie

It's interesting to watch and observe how little minds work. These are their little chairs that the girls turned upside down. Instead of just seeing upside down chairs they saw some sort of ride. They sit down with there legs underneath the buckle so they are buckled in and then they hold on to the bars and say, "Ready?! GO!!" And then they rock back and forth trying there hardest to make it move. It's so funny to watch.

Surgery Update...

Dave went in for surgery at 8 am this morning and came out feeling MUCH better. (Aside from the vomiting of course). Before the surgery the pain was so intense he could not lift his left leg. Since I have known him he has always had this issue. The doctor lifted his leg and asked if there was any pain. Dave shook his head and said, "no." For me this is the best news in the world but Dave won't be convinced until he's able to stand up. While the surgery seems to be a success there was a minor set back. Dave had so much scar tissue and calcification stuck to the spinal canal that the doctor had to seperate it before he could remove the part of the disc that was herniated. Doing so caused a small tear in the sac of fluid and had to be repaired with a seal or patch. In order to make sure the seal doesn't tear open, Dave has to stay on strict bed rest 'til morning. The doctor warned us of this before hand but didn't see it being an issue because he didn't know about the scar tissue and calcification until he opened him up.
When Dave came out of surgery he was pretty tired but coherant. So unfortunately there are no funny stories to tell. Sorry.
I took Sadie and Grace in to see Dave and Grace was afraid of Dave in the hospital bed with wires coming out of him. Sadie was fine with it though. I would like to say that they were good and gave their dad lots of love and attention but no. They're nearly 2. Which means they have a special sensor that tells them where to find every button and switch, cord and wire to push, pull and tug on. Needless to say they didn't stay long.
Anyway, I only got to talk to the doctor once and will get to again tomorrow morning so if anything I said above is wrong I will correct it tomorrow.
Thank you to all who prayed and kept Dave in their thoughts. We appriciate it. Love you all!!
