Pretty Sadie

Cute little Emilee

Gracie has always been my climber

Sadie LOVES to swing!

Just so you know...

I do slide shows because it's quicker, easier, and uses less space to show all the pictures I want to share. Plus they're kinda cute and fun to mess around with.

Quote of the Day

The best we can expect of ourselves is to live THOUGHTFULLY. Cognative. As much as possible, to be awake in each moment and choose to wake ourselves up at each turn, instead of numb ourselves to avoid the confusion it brings. There is no avoiding the inevitable.

Easter Sunday at the park

The Zoo

Sadie, Grace & Da Da

Grace & Da Da at the zoo

We took the girls to the zoo with their cousins and had some fun. Most of the animals were sleeping and I didn't think the Phoenix Zoo had all that much to offer. Grace has such a free spirit and does NOT like to be in the stroller. But you can't take out one and not the other and having two that go exact opposite directions would drive the most patient parents in the world crazy. We also should have gone a couple weeks earlier when it was cooler. There are a lot of hills at this zoo.

PUPPY!!

Hugging the puppy

Grace & Remmie

Grace giving Remmie the biggest/longest hug I have ever seen a child give a dog. As soon as I let her go, she RAN over and just threw herself on Remmie and hugged him.

Twice Blessed

Baptism Day

During our trip to Johnstown, we decided to have our girls baptized along with all our other nieces. (Except Jaden she was already baptized) It was kind of last minute and right after the shower Dave's mom and sisters had for me. So I had very little time to find dresses for the girls and in Johnstown there is pretty much one store to look in. Luckily, they had two dresses the size and style I liked. It was pretty hectic and crazy with 7 girls besing baptized at the same time. Not being Catholic it was an interesting ceremony to be a part of.

Blessing Day

The day my girls were blessed, my parents church started in the morning. Being that we were already up in the mornings I thought everything would go relatively smooth. We got up, got showered, got dressed, fed the girls and got them dressed. I decided to put their dresses on when we got to church because Gracie had a little spit up problem and I didn't want it all over her dress. So we're running a little late but not too bad considering we have twins, but most of all my husband has no concept of time. Anyway, as we pull into the parking lot I discover that I left the dresses on the couch. They were the same dresses we had them baptized in and I really wanted to use the same dresses. However, we didn't feel we had enough to run home to get the dresses and they just had a onsie on so Dave ran to Walmart and picked out these dresses all by himself.
My dad blessed both girls and he did a wonderful job.
(So did Sadie and Grace)

While probably the most tiring photo shoot, I do think we got some great shots of not only their good looks but their personalities as well.

Trying to get Gracie to show any kind of emotion in these pictures was impossible! She gave the same expression in every shot.

These pictures were probably the quickest and easiest ones to get. They just sat there and looked pretty almost as if they were born to be in front of the camera.

We had these pictures taken when we were in Dave's hometown Johnstown, Pa. We were so lucky the girls woke up from their nap happy babies right when we got there. They were so good for the camera. These are my favorite pictures so far.

It is not until you become a mother that your judgment slowly turns to compassion and understanding.

It's a funny thing that when a man hasn't anything on earth to worry about, he goes off and gets married.~Robert Frost~

Dave and I met at Hollywood Video were I worked as assistant manager. It's hard to say exactly which day it was that we met but I can say exactly which day it was he asked me out on our first date. It's funny because he used to annoy me with coming in to rent a movie 5 minutes before it was time to close.

I used to play this Jewel DVD when it got late and we didn't get many customers. So one night Dave decided to use this as a way to talk to me. One night he simply asked if that was Jewel. Another night when I wasn't playing Jewel he asked, "No Jewel tonight?" For those who know me, Jewel is my FAVORITE!! So because of this he got inside my mind. I wasn't initially attracted to Dave because he seemed like a guy who was good looking and knew it. (Not my type). But there he was. In my mind. The next thing I knew, I was looking for him to come in and he was coming in at night looking for me. But during this time I wasn't working many closing shifts so we kept missing each other.

So, September 13, 2005 he comes in while I'm working. He brought up a movie and I checked it out to him. As he goes to leave he stops, looks at his feet, and nervously asked if I'd like to go out sometime. Because he was so nervous it told me there was something incredibly sweet about him. (Which there was/is)

Within one year we managed to get married and have two unbelievably gorgeous girls. And because they're so much cuter than us, this blog will be mosly about them.
